Do you have experience with candid photography? If so, you're just the volunteer we need to join us!
We are hosting events across LA county with many volunteers. We want to capture the work we are doing in these communities. Better Angels is creating a movement throughout LA county to end the homeless epidemic together. We need a photographer at this event to capture all the moments of various individuals coming together to share connection, resources, and healthy meals with our neighbors. We share these experience photos with our communities to report on our activities, communicate our mission and attract more volunteers.
The event team will provide the photographer a shot list, so you know what types of images we want to capture. We will not take photos of guest, unless they provide a signed waiver. We will maintain respect and integrity of everyone of our guests and volunteers.
Why this role matters: Images of neighbors serving each other show our community what volunteering looks like now, attracting other volunteers and illustrating how we are working together.
What you'll do: Capture the energy, warmth, welcome and work in photos of this inclusive, joyful event. Then, later share your best shots with the team.
Tools & Supplies: Use your own camera, computer and Internet connection ( hot spot)
Day of Details: Park in any available public lot on Loma Ave that is across from the event space. Check in with the volunteer coordinator and pick up the shot list.
After the event- Share preliminary/highlight shots within 2 days and the remainder within a week. A Google Drive link will be provided to you in order to upload the photos. Feel free to edit blurry or delete duplicates before you upload. Please email Amaris@betterangels.la once the photos have been uploaded.
