Who We Are

We are Angelenos who are working together on technical projects, research studies, and at big volunteer events to make a real difference for people experiencing homelessness.

Transforming our communities will take all of us. Money isn't enough; neither is hoping that someone else will solve issues we all see. When we all come together to do our part, we will tangible difference in our own neighborhoods. Experts. Skilled Labor. Leaders. First Responders. Ambitious Young People. Retirees. College Students.

Solving homelessness together needs all of us - and that means we need YOU.

What We Do

Easy, fulfilling ways to volunteer at home or at large events

Ongoing

We offer ongoing positions for software developers, product manager, user-experience experts, marketers, grant writers, event planners, resource partnership leaders, writers, photographers, videographers, content creators, and researchers.  These opportunities are terrific for professionals or retirees who want to use and expand their skills, are able to commit to regular hours each month and appreciate the benefits of collaborative work.

Medium-term

If you have more time now, and can make a medium-term commitment, you can lead a small project or work collaboratively on a larger project. These projects can include product design, data gathering and cleaning, creating a web crawler, developing a strategic plan for a key group of volunteers, auditing or confirming local resources,  and attending and reporting on an important community meeting.  These roles are terrific for students wanting internships or for people in career transition.

Short-term

For those just getting their feet wet (or hands dirty!), you can join in on short-term tasks. This might be as simple as user-testing for a new site or application, drafting or proof-reading a social media post or newsletter, researching new legislation around housing and homelessness. These tasks are terrific for anyone that wants to help, but isn't sure about a bigger commitment.

Events

For every large event, we have opportunities for one-time or short-term roles including event planning, event marketing, media plan and coordination, social media posting and engagement, event host, event photographer, event videographer, and event communications. Most events also need a supplies and tools organizer, shopper, and a driver. And every event also needs people to join in the activity from picking up trash, to creating meal bags, or delivering safety instructions.
