Role Overview:
As a Volunteer Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the design aspects of our projects. You will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to create compelling visual content that aligns with our organization's mission and values. This role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your design skills, create a visual story, and make a meaningful impact through your creative contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Skills: Provide creative direction and support with volunteer flyers, social media posts, etcetera and ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to brand guidelines across all projects.
- Project Management: Manage design projects from conception to completion, including planning, prioritization, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Collaboration: Communicate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and community teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Visual Design: Produce high-quality visual assets for various mediums, including digital and print materials, such as social media graphics, flyers, posters, and swag or collateral items.
- Research and Innovation: Stay updated on design trends, tools, and best practices, and explore innovative approaches to enhance the organization's design capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (at least 3 years) in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing your creative skills and design expertise.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for social impact and a commitment to contributing your skills and expertise to support Better Angels’s mission.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible - up to 5 hours per month.
