About this event:
We are joining our friends at Westside Thanksgiving as they share donated clothing and serve a holiday meal. They've been holding this annual event since 1982!
We are partnering with the community at Westside Thanksgiving to support the holiday event they have been hosting since 1982! This is a wonderful activity for friends or multi-generational family groups.
For over four decades, Westside Thanksgiving has put on a free Thanksgiving Day community celebration! We provide a wonderful sit-down Thanksgiving dinner, a huge selection of clothing to choose from, a “Mercado” (store) where you can shop for perishable and non-perishable items, live music, and companionship – ALL FOR FREE!
What we will do:
We will work with a diverse group of volunteers to take down the tables and chairs around Thanksgiving dinner and market for the community.
When: Thursday, Nov 23rd,2023
What you can expect: Working with others in a group to prepare for or clean up from a free Thanksgiving meal for all in the community. You may be asked to organize, clean, or lift items up to 25 lbs.

Parking and Check-In information
- Plan to arrive 1/2 hour early for the shift you have been assigned so you’ll have time to park and go through orientation.
- There is limited free parking at the site. Car-pool, ride share, or public transportation is suggested. Public lots are at Idaho & Sawtelle Blvd, Butler north of Santa Monica Blvd, Corinth north of Santa Monica Blvd, and Colby south of Santa Monica Blvd.
- Look for parking signs, then look for Volunteer Check-In in the parking lot south of the Municipal Building.
PLEASE NOTE: All children under 18 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Clothing: Wear clothed-toes shoes. Please wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty in or your Better Angels T-shirt.
Groups: We encourage groups of all sizes to join us! Please feel free to invite your friends, family, church groups, etc.
