Calling all volunteers with feet.
Do you enjoy working outside with positive people in a hands-on activity?
Come join us as we organize shoes with our friends from Shoes for the Homeless!
This is a great activity for multi-generational and student groups.
Teams are welcome.
Why does this volunteer work matter?
Many people have donated shoes, but the shoes are useless until they are sorted, organized, and processed for distribution. Our work will take these shoes from storage to the organizations that will share them with everyone in need.
Why do shoes matter so much?
The shoes we may take for granted everyday matter to our health! Shoes provide comfort, relieve pain, and can heal our feet. For people who are living outside, foot problems are a constant complaint. A better pair of shoes is an immediate improvement in quality of life.
Shoes make an impression. The right shoes can help people land jobs, feel independent and confident, and ensure appropriate attire for weddings, church services, and funerals. Sneakers that fit allow children to happily play in PE or after-school activities.
Having a decent pair of shoes matters to people of all ages!
