Do you enjoy working outside with positive people?
Are you ready to create peace, spread love and generate positivity in Mar Vista?
Together: We'll be having a day of fun in the sun with our community while enjoying a picnic together.
Why this project matters: The Peace Love and Positivity group invites the community including unhoused neighbors and connecting them to resources. When we work together with fellow volunteers to build connections and also meet the urgent needs of people living outside, our entire community benefits.
Wear: Please wear clothes you don't mind being active or dirty in. If you've volunteered with us before, wear your Better Angels T-shirt to show your support!
Tools: We will provide any of the functional items needed for the event
Age: All ages are welcome. Teams with members younger than 14 will participate with a parent or guardian.
What We Will Do
- Join the PLP Community Group and Better Angels at the Mar Vista Recreation Center. Look for our light blue T-shirts and PLP team members.
- Sign in and receive instructions for your shift.
Shift 1: 10 a.m. - Noon - Setup
Shift 2: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. -Setup
Shift 3: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Picnic Support
Shift 4: 3-6 p.m. - Picnic Support
Shift 5: 6 - 7pm - Picnic Breakdown
