DONATION DRIVE LEADERS: BETTER ANGELS AND VALLEY OASIS PARTNERSHIP Inspire generosity and help collect essential donations for families and individuals in need. Join us as a Donation Drive Leader supporting our partnership between Better Angels and Valley Oasis in Lancaster. This is a chance to lead with purpose, mobilize your community, and make a lasting impact through compassion and care.

WHY THIS WORK MATTERS: Every donated item tells a story of kindness. At Better Angels, we believe that ending homelessness takes both systems of support and human connection. Through our partnership with Valley Oasis, we are hosting donation drives that directly serve survivors of domestic violence, families in transition, and unhoused community members across the Antelope Valley. As a Donation Drive Leader, you will help transform generosity into real change by organizing efforts that provide clothing, hygiene products, and household essentials that restore hope and dignity to those who need it most.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: As a Donation Drive Leader, you will work with the Better Angels Volunteer Engagement team to plan and lead donation efforts in your community. You will help recruit and inspire others to give, manage logistics, and ensure that donations are collected and delivered efficiently. You will plan and host drives at your workplace, school, church, or community group. You will collect and sort donated goods such as clothing, hygiene kits, and household items. You will communicate regularly with Better Angels Volunteer Engagement Specialist Tiffany Pegula and Valley Oasis staff to stay aligned. You will help coordinate drop off logistics or delivery to the Valley Oasis site in Lancaster and share photos and stories from your drive to inspire others. You will also help spread awareness about the initiative through your social media or local networks.

WHO YOU ARE: You do not need prior fundraising or nonprofit experience. This opportunity is for anyone with initiative, organization, and a heart for service. It is a great fit if you are reliable, motivated, and passionate about helping families rebuild their lives. You enjoy connecting people to purpose, are comfortable organizing logistics, and want to make a real difference in your community in a flexible and meaningful way.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN: Your leadership will help hundreds of individuals and families receive essential items and a renewed sense of hope. You will gain valuable experience in event coordination, community outreach, and donation management. You will also collaborate with an inspiring network of leaders from Better Angels and Valley Oasis. Volunteers are recognized through Better Angels social media spotlights, mixers, and community events, and you will have the opportunity to grow into future leadership roles within the organization.

TIME COMMITMENT: This opportunity is flexible and requires about five to eight hours each month depending on the size and scope of your donation drive.

LOCATION: This role is primarily remote with optional in person coordination and donation delivery at Valley Oasis in Lancaster California.
