Do You Enjoy Being Outside With Positive People?
Are you ready to make an impact in Venice serving our neighbors with St. Robert's Center?
Together: We are partnering with the non-profit & Catholic Charities organization, St. Robert's Center, to organize and host an extended resource day for the Venice community. We are delighted to support the work they have been doing, providing resources and support for our financially unstable, unhoused neighbors, expectant mothers, and families, including a weekly Saturday breakfast for all experiencing homelessness and a daytime wellness and respite drop-in center for unhoused families of young children.
What: Being friendly and ready to serve, set up, and help navigate the resources provided are the main requirements!
Why this project matters: Our neighbors will be able to access services and alleviate their suffering in a warm atmosphere of care and connection, while enjoying community. When we work with fellow volunteers to meet the urgent needs of neighbors, our entire community benefits.
Wear: Please wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Wear closed-toe shoes and leave your jewelry and bags at home. If you've volunteered with us before, feel free to wear your Better Angels T-shirt to show your support!
Tools: We will provide all necessary supplies.
Age: All ages are welcome. We will have family-friendly activities.
