Join us as a Musical Performer (Duo, Singer, or DJ) for Community Resource Day.

We seek a talented performer (s) singer (s) or musician (s) to bring joy and energy to our upcoming neighborhood gathering! This event is about building community and supporting those seeking housing and essential services. Your music will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, helping to uplift spirits and bring people together.

Role:

• Perform for 2.5 hours (10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) at a neighborhood gathering focused on housing and support services.
• Ideally, bring your microphone and amplifier (if available), essential equipment
• Open to individual or groups of musicians

Requirements:

• Ability to perform live music (singing and/or playing an instrument) OR DJ music to add positive energy to a gathering.
• A positive attitude and passion for community support.
• Non- explicit music. Something upbeat and fun for people to get lost in and enjoy. 
• Punctuality: Arrive by 9:30 AM to set up and be ready to perform by 10:00 AM.

Compensation:

• Volunteer stipend of $150 (without equipment).
• $200 (with microphone and amplifier provided by you).

First Time Volunteer?

For your first time volunteering as a resource day performer with us, then in addition to responding to a shift, please email (to volunteer@betterangels.la) links (or files) sharing a recording (s) of your music, your website or social media - or any other way we can assess your skill as it relates to our goal of creating a positive and welcoming environment for our neighbors - with music.
