Why This Work Matters

Residential care homes supporting vulnerable Angelenos often lack access to volunteers and community resources. Meanwhile, many people want to help but don’t know where to start. This role connects the dots—helping care homes tap into local support that enhances residents’ lives and builds a stronger, more inclusive Los Angeles.

Role Overview

As Project Manager for the Connected Communities Initiative, you’ll lead the planning and execution of efforts that activate partnerships across LARCA’s network. You’ll set clear, achievable goals, coordinate events, develop tools, and connect the right people to the right opportunities—all to drive economic justice and community resilience.

* Community Engagement: Plan events that spark connection.
* Project Management: Lead collaborative, impact-driven initiatives.
* Resource Development: Build materials to support lasting engagement.
* Tracking & Impact: Use data to drive continuous improvement.
* Collaboration: Partner with leadership and stakeholders to align efforts.

Relevant Qualifications

* 3–5 years of project management experience.

* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

* Passion for social impact, community work, or economic justice.

Time Commitment

* Approximately 5-8 hours per month (flexible and remote, in person as desired). Please commit to at least 2 months, with a work hand-off when you exit.

About our partner: LARCA

The Los Angeles County Adult Residential Facility Association (LARCA) is a nonprofit membership association supporting owners and operators of Adult Residential Facilities (ARFs) and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs) that serve individuals reliant on public benefits or living with serious mental illness.  These facilities are a critical part of Los Angeles County’s safety net—helping to prevent homelessness and provide stable care environment.
