Pasadena is shaping the future of North Lake Avenue, and we want YOU to be part of the conversation! Join us on Thursday, March 27, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lake Avenue Church to learn about the proposed redevelopment of the former Kaiser Permanente site.
This is your chance to share input, ask questions, and help guide a project that includes 90 affordable homes, supportive housing, and a community hub. Let’s build a stronger, more inclusive neighborhood together!
What will the volunteers be doing?
Volunteers will talk to other attendees to demonstrate the Better Angels QR code, on their phone or printed materials, share informational materials, collect feedback, and encourage community members to participate in discussions. Volunteers will also direct guests to Better Angels staff to answer basic questions/help guests feel welcome.

● Volunteer Time Commitment: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (includes public comment)
● What to Wear: Comfortable, professional attire. If you have a Better Angels T-shirt, feel free to wear it. Dress for indoor conditions.
● Parking: Available in the Lake Avenue Church parking lot.
● Bathrooms are on the 2nd floor near the Rose Room.

This project is about making Pasadena better for everyone. We want to transform the old Kaiser site on North Lake Avenue into an amazing place including:
● Affordable housing for families and individuals who need it
● Supportive housing for people who were formally experiencing homelessness.
● A mental health center with services to help the community
● Shops and spaces that make the neighborhood more lively and welcoming

Why is Better Angels supporting this?
The Better Angels Housing pillar is focused on reducing homelessness and increasing housing affordability through privately funded housing developments. We aim to deliver innovative housing solutions while leveraging private capital to address public challenges. We are bidding to develop a component of this project in partnership with various partners to execute different phases of development.
